Harrison has been eating solids (pureeds as I call them) for about two weeks now and loves, loves, loves the whole process. From the very first spoonful of rice cereal, he totally grabbed the spoon and knew exactly what was going on. He kicks his legs with extreme excitement as soon as I grab the cereal out of the cupboard to start mixing it and then wolfs down so much! He definitely wants to be independent with the eating situation but, as I try to remind him, he really still does need adult supervision and isn't quite ready to hold the bowl and spoon on his own. I thought I was pretty sneaky handing Harrison his own spoon as a decoy but he knows that the spoon I hold is the one with the food so as he eats, he usually holds onto both spoons and often puts both in his mouth. So hilarious! He will eat anything, although green beans didn't go over as well as sweet potatoes...absolutely the favorite right now.
